Book Fifty Five

Book Fifty Five
Day One Hundred and Ninety Five

Barbara O'Neal "How to Bake a Perfect Life"
398 pages

I thought this book sounded interesting in the new book section at the library. When I was just on Shelfari to post it I realized I already read a book she wrote before I started this project. And I believe I liked it. So... off I go to enjoy the 55th book. Cruising right along...

Book Fifty Four Done

Book Fifty Four Done
Day One Hundred and Ninety Five

Elin Hilderbrand "The Island"
403 pages

Oh how I loved this book. I truly love her writing. Nantucket was a summer vacation spot for a few years in my family. It holds really fond memories for me and I love anything even mentioning the island. The characters in this book were all going through something emotional... something that was distracting them from having the best time they could. I was so interested in everything they were going through. I'm sad its over. Finished it late last night and was too tired to post.

Book Fifty Four

Book Fifty Four
Day One Hundred and Ninety

Elin Hilderbrand "The Island"
403 pages

I'm a huge fan of her books... I've read them all. I don't even know what this one is about but I'm sure it will be good. Tonight the man is out at a concert and then to watch March Madness with friends... so I will read in silence... my fav!

Book Fifty Three Done

Book Fifty Three Done
Day One Hundred and Ninety

Stacey Ballis "Good Enough To Eat"
266 pages

I loved this book! I even emailed the author halfway through to tell her how much I was enjoying it and I never do stuff like that. I remember really liking all her other books... I hope she puts them out faster than she has been.

Book Fifty Three

Book Fifty Three
Day One Hundred and Eighty Four

Stacey Ballis "Good Enough To Eat"
266 pages

I adore her books... it's been a while since she put one out. I found out while being obsessed with Jen Lancaster that they are friends in real life. Which I love because Jen's hysterical... and awesome. Let's go Stacey... entertain me.

Book Fifty Two Done

Book Fifty Two Done
Day One Hundred and Eighty Four

James Patterson "Tick Tock"
387 pages

This was another great book... though it kinda freaked me out. His stories are usually frightening but this one was very graphic... I feel like its giving psychotic people a manual. But it did what it intended to do. I was on the edge of my seat and couldn't stop turning the pages.

Yay... a cool day outside, windows open, birds chirping, boyfriend napping... the perfect time to crack open a James Patterson book.

Book Fifty One Done

Allegra Goodman "The Cookbook Collector"

So boring....I didn't want to stop reading a book but I almost couldn't help it. I didn't care about anyone and now that I'm done I don't even know what the point of this book was.

Book Fifty Done

Book Fifty Done
Day One Hundred and Seventy Three

Jodi Picoult "Sing You Home"
466 pages

This book was fantastic. Another home run for her. I love so much the care she puts into explaining everything. You are never quite sure what's going to happen. Already sad I have to wait another year for her next book.

Jodi Picoult "Sing You Home"

She is my all time favorite author. I love how she makes you really think about a subject. I can't believe this will be 50 books in under 6 months... a tenth of my goal complete at the end of this book.

Book Forty Nine Done

Elizabeth Berg "The Last Time I Saw You"

A good book for a rainy Sunday.

The last of her books I haven't read...

Book Forty Eight Done

Book Forty Eight Done
Day One Hundred and Seventy

James Patterson "I, Alex Cross"
374 pages

I loved it! I was a little lost with some of the characters because as I said I haven't read the whole series but this book definitely makes me want to go back and start at the beginning. There was a preview for his witch book in the back... just not my style James... even for you.

James Patterson "I, Alex Cross"

I haven't read the whole series of Alex Cross books so hopefully I won't be lost on the storyline. Can't resist a James Patterson book.

Book Forty Seven Done

Book Forty Seven Done
Day One Hundred and Sixty Nine

Gary Dell'Abate "They Call Me Baba Booey"
278 pages

It was surprisingly good. I know Howard made fun of him a lot and said it was really boring. I figured part of him was joking but it could have been true. I didn't know he grew up in a household like that. I wish he would have talked about Artie more...

Major Stern fan... hoping this is a good read.

Book Forty Six Done

Sophie Kinsella "Mini Shopaholic"

YAY! I love this series. Just a light easy amusing read. And you can already tell where we are going in the next book. Hated the movie made out of the first book... went about five minutes and couldn't do it.
