Day Two Hundred and Twenty Five
Tina Fey "Bossypants"

What's not to love about Tina Fey? She's smart, funny and witty.

This was a good and easy read. I was correct. Main character lost a bunch of weight and dealt with the transformation of life. I related to her a lot because she was about to turn thirty. I've been struggling with that fact so it was nice to read the authors take. In the end her life seemed to work out just fine. Maybe not as she thought but she was happy. I'll wish that for myself.

Book Sixty Seven

Day Two Hundred and Nineteen
Johanna Edwards "How to Be Cool"

This author writes about chubbier main characters... I believe they lose a bunch of weight and either they are happier or find out it didn't matter. Since both outcomes are plausible they make for interesting reads.

It was cute. Cute pictures, cute stories... cute. I <3 happy sisters.

I don't care what anyone else thinks... I enjoy watching their shows. So I know this might be a superficial read about clothes and boys but that's ok. They are a close family even through their personal dramas. I like it.

Exactly what I needed it to be. Nice, easy holiday read...

Every once in a while I need to read super fluff. I know some people think most of the chick lit I read is fluff but I try to pick authors who write with some purpose. Danielle Steel always serves a purpose for me. Boy meets girl, something gets in the way, boy and girl reunite. Or something close to that. I'm in for an easy holiday read. Happy Easter my friends...

I saw this book review in People magazine. I've been slightly disappointed in some of their choices but it might be my fault. Just because the reviewer likes a book and makes it sound good doesn't mean I would actually be interested in the premise. So I don't remember what its about but I'll give her a shot.

Side note: I realized how annoying it is that I write the book number twice... so I'm not doing it anymore. Not very exciting I know but I wanted to point it out.

This book was no Kristin Hannah but it was actually well written. I wasn't expecting the ending... slightly disappointed in it but I'll give her credit for surprising me. I would read her other books... that's the best endorsement a reader can give I think. Onto the next one...

I found this in the new book section at the library. That's been hit and miss for me on authors I don't know. The premise seems interesting so we'll see how it goes. I feel a little bad for this author right now. I just finished reading a truly amazing book and that's a hard act to follow.

I did the math last night... I'm reading a book every 3.45 days. I'm hoping to keep that number nice and small for as long as I can. So excuse me as I go start reading... time's a wastin'.

Redeem herself? She outdid herself... I really don't even know what to say. It was an emotional roller coaster and since I just got off I'm still a little shaken. I cannot wait to pass this book on. I wish it would have went on forever. Bravo Kristin Hannah... BRAVO!

I put a hold on this book at the library as soon as I saw she came out with a new book and I've been waiting forever. This weekend I was at the library and it was on the rental shelf. For all the library does for me I'll gladly give them $1.59 to read a good book. So here you go Kristin... your last book I went to read was a dud for me and I couldn't even finish it (period piece... yuck) so I hope you redeem yourself here. Something tells me you will...

Lisa Scottoline "The First Two Novels-Everywhere That Mary Went  and Final Appeal"

I was lucky enough to not have anything to do yesterday so I read basically all day. Oh how I love her books... I have other good books to read right now but all I want to do is go to the library and take out the next few. I'll get there soon. These were two different characters and I know one continues through as a series. YAY! 16 more books by Lisa Scottoline in my near future. This project is going to shoot to book 100 with a quickness. At this rate, I'll be done a whole lot faster than I thought.

Just this past week I went to my first book signing. It was Lisa Scottoline for Save Me. I knew I liked her books but I thought she was hysterically funny and really engaging. So here I am starting at the beginning again reading her books. I'm not sure I've read them all but there are eighteen so get used to seeing her name in this blog a lot.

James Franco "Palo Alto"
196 pages

Hmm... I'm not sure where to start. I will say this book was better than most short story collections but not by much. I didn't find myself skimming as much as I usually do. The stories were interesting and the characters appeared in multiple stories which kept it moving. But in the end it always comes down to the same issue for me. I just don't think the depth of character is there.

Day Two Hundred and Ten

James Franco "Palo Alto"

I believe the description I saw was erotic, vulgar, violent short stories. If you've been reading this blog at all you'll know me and short story collections do not mix. I think most are poorly written because of how much feeling needs to be put into such a short amount of words. Some writers think if they don't do so well at a short story that they shouldn't be an author. I bet they would do better when given the ability to spread their thoughts over 90,000 words. The only reason I am giving this book a chance is that James Franco has a twisted brain and I'm interested to see where he'll take us.

From the first chapter I thought this book was going to fall into the boring and predictable category. By the end of the second chapter I was pleasantly surprised to find out I didn't want to put the book down. Good ending... made it interesting.

I found this book in the carts they use when they are putting books back at the library. Its actually the best place to look since its what is popular. Something about four friends agreeing to cheat on their husbands for a year. This could either be funny and interesting or boring and predictable. I'll let you know in 262 pages.

I smiled like a Cheshire cat when I closed this book. It turned out to be the second book so I knew all the characters and the plot line. I loved the story. I think every book should be a series because I hate not knowing what happens next. Excellent read.

I read her other book "Love Walked In" first which was the second book in this series. I read so many books I'm not sure it will be a big deal because all the plot lines end up jumbling together in my head.

I've read a lot of her books and I know I liked them. Two hundred days seems weird to me. Though I've read more books than I can remember its interesting to keep track of my reading habits. Right now I have a huge stack of books next to the bed and I wish I could devour them all right now. Stay home and do nothing but read. Unfortunately I don't think that plan will work.

I remember reading about this book on Shelfari but I can't remember what it's about. Even with the little break I took from reading I'm still averaging less than 4 days per book. That's pretty good. At that rate I'll be done with 500 books in under 6 years. Wow... I wonder where life will be.

I really enjoyed this book. So much that I'm pretty sure I woke about at 2:30 this morning just so I could read more. I've had a string of really good books which is nice. I definitely get too emotionally invested in books. I can't help it! A good author makes me want to know what happens next...
