Book 173 Done

Day 896
Jami Attenberg "The Middlesteins"

Wow this one took me a while to read. Life just seemed to happen causing me to lose the ability to read. This was a very interesting book. Loved the characters, the ebb and flow of the storyline really carried you through.

Book 172

Day 864
Jami Attenberg "The Middlesteins"

I'm excited about this one... I remember reading about it and thinking it sounded interesting. It was on Amazon's "Best Books of the Year" list. And here I go back into my reading phase... I hope.

Day 864
Darren Humphries "Goodnight Dear"

The timing is off on this post but here goes. I've been busy doing a whole lot of nothing. Some baking, lots of working... and lots of TV watching. I imagine that happens sometimes to people who read a lot.You go through phases. Hopefully I'm done with that phase.

As for this book I know I read it somewhere between the last one and today. I couldn't tell you when but it was pretty good. I think a free Kindle book... but that shouldn't matter.

True story of a guy who's wife dies unexpectedly one day and leaves him with two small children. The subtitle is The Unsentimental Diary of a Bereaved Husband. He's honest in his grief and mixes in messages he received from friends and loved ones regarding her passing.

Kudos sir... may you find more pleasant topics in your future to discuss.

Book 170 Done

Day 821
Laura Lippman "I'd Know You Anywhere"

This was an interesting book. I'm pretty sure I've read the author before and I thought I remembered liking her books. I can see why. The story line kept you interested and the characters remained the slight mysteries they needed to be.

Laura Lippman "I'd Know You Anywhere"

I don't know what day I started this book because it seems I forgot to post.

Book 169 Done

Day 806
Garth Stein "The Art of Racing In The Rain"

Love... love... love this book. I had not read it before and it was great. Told from the dog's perspective it was sad, funny and enlightening. Just a fun read.

Book 169

Day 800
Garth Stein "The Art of Racing In The Rain"

I'm not sure why I never read this book considering my love of all things dog related. Maybe I thought I already read it... maybe I did. I read the synopsis and nothing sounded familiar. We'll see...
